Fountain Hills Community Theater is proud to announce the opening of the final show of their Youth Theater for the 2007-’08 Season, “The Vanishing of Anna”. This original musical addresses the important issues of eating disorders and self-image problems suffered by young people. It is a frank look at the very real and disturbing illnesses with which so many young people struggle, often fighting for their very lives in their efforts to overcome the emotional issues behind the illness.

Fountain Hills Youth Theater is proud to be partnering with the Remuda Ranch Foundation, a non-profit arm of Remuda Ranch, an organization dedicated to informing and educating young people about eating disorders, as well as to preventing eating disorders. Remuda Ranch is located in Wickenburg, Arizona and provides treatment for women and girls suffering from anorexia, bulimia and other eating disorders, as well as related emotional problems such as anxiety, poor self-image and depression. The Foundation’s goal is to fund treatment for disadvantaged youth and as this play is the Youth Theater’s annual YABOY (young actors benefiting other youth), FHCT will be donating a portion of ticket sales to the Foundation in support of its valuable work.
